Με πολλούς ερασιτεχνικούς και με ρεκόρ 6-2 στις ΜΜΑ, η Jessy Jess έχει ξεκινήσει το δύσκολο ταξίδι της στον κόσμο των πολεμικών τεχνών. Ανήκει στο ρόστερ της Invicta Fc, είναι αήττητη τον τελευταίο καιρό και περιμένει την μεγάλη ευκαιρία για το UFC. Η ίδια μίλησε στο Fightsports.gr για τους στόχους της στο άθλημα, τις αθλήτριες που ξεχωρίζει στην BANTAMWEIGHT οπού ανήκει ενώ κάνει ειδική μνεία στην Ronda Rousey. Αναλυτικά η συνέντευξη:
Jessy καλωσόρισες στο Fightsports.gr. Είχες κάποιους σημαντικούς αγώνες τελευταία. Που θα σε δούμε από εδώ και πέρα;
«Τέλος Ιουλίου έπαιξα στο Gold Coast της Αυστραλίας. Ευελπιστώ ότι θα παίξω ξανά στην Αμερική προς το τέλος του 2016. Mίλησα με τους ανθρώπους της Invicta και περιμένω να οριστικοποιηθεί».
Ποιος είναι ο στόχος σου στο άθλημα. Θα σε δούμε στο UFC;
«Κάθε αθλητής έχει στόχο το UFC και θα ήθελα να καταλήξω εκεί. Πιο σημαντικό για μένα είναι να αγωνίζομαι και να κερδίζω, χτίζοντας ένα καλό όνομα σαν αθλήτρια, ώστε όταν ανοίξω το δικό μου γυμναστήριο να μπορώ να προπονήσω ανθρώπους στις μικτές πολεμικές τέχνες, όχι μόνο στην Αυστραλία αλλά και σε όλο τον κόσμο».
Στην Bantamweight υπάρχουν κάποιες αθλήτριες που σου αρέσουν; Ποια η γνώμη σου για την Ronda Rousey;
«Υπάρχουν τόσες πολλές και φανταστικές αθλήτριες στην κατηγορία. Μου αρέσει η Amanda Nunez που είναι η πρόσφατη πρωταθλήτρια και ελπίζω μία μέρα να προπονηθώ μαζί της. Όσο για την Ronda, ήμουν πάντοτε φαν της, όχι μόνο σαν αθλήτρια αλλά και όλη η προσωπικότητα της. Έδωσε… φωνή και έκανε αποδεκτές τις γυναίκες στις μικτές πολεμικές τέχνες, ενώ μέχρι τότε κανείς δεν είχε τα κότσια να το κάνει. Αν δεν ήταν αυτή, καμία δεν θα είχε τις ευκαιρίες που έχει τώρα».
Η Bec Rawlings είναι συμπατριώτισσα σου. Έχετε προπονηθεί μαζί;
«Δεν έχω να πω και πολλά για εκείνη. Έχει τραβήξει τον δρόμο της και δεν έχουμε διασταυρωθεί ποτέ».
Αν είχες μία πρόταση από την Ελλάδα θα ερχόσουν να αγωνιστείς;
«Οπωσδήποτε! Είναι ένα όνειρο για μένα να αγωνιστώ στην Ευρώπη. Έχω οικογένεια εκεί και θα άρπαζα την ευκαιρία.

She played for Invicta fc, she had the invincibility at the last fights and she is waiting the chance for UFC. Jessy talked for Fightsports.gr, her goals at the sport, witch female athletes likes at her category and her opinion about Ronda Rousey.
Jessy you had some important fights. When is your next fight and if we will see you again at invicta?
So I just fought at the end of July in Gold Coast, Australia. Hopefully I will be fighting again in America towards the end of the year. I’ve been speaking to Invicta, we just need to finalise it ?
What is your goal to the sport. Is there any possibility to see you at UFC?
Every fighters goal is UFC so of course I would love to end up there. More Importantly for me though, is I want to keep fighting and winning and build a reputable name for myself as an athlete so that when I open my own gym and start coaching full time, people will see me as a legitimate part of MMA not only in Australia but worldwide
In your category there are some women at UFC you like? What is your opinion about Ronda Rousey?
There are so many amazing women in my division. I love Amanda Nunes, the current UFC Champ and I am hoping to get out to train with her soon.As for Ronda, I have always been a fan, not of her as a fighter, but because of everything else she has done for women in not just MMA, but all male dominated sports. She gave us a voice and made it acceptable whereas before no one had the guts to make the stand that she has. Say what you will about her attitude, if it wasn’t for her, none of us would be here or have the opportunities that we have now.
Bec Rawlings is from Australia too. You had any sparring with her?
I haven’t had much to do with her to tell you the truth. She’s on her own journey and out paths never cross.
If you have an offer from greece for a fight will you come?
Absolutely! It has been a dream to fight in Europe. I have a lot of family over there so I would jump at the opportunity!
