Οταν είπαν στον Parr να παίξει με το είδωλό του νόμιζε πως θα πεθάνει αλλά δέχθηκε

Ο θρύλος των μαχητικών, John Wayne Parr θυμήθηκε ένα σούπερ ματς που είχε παίξει με Ταϊλανδό legend του thai. 

Μία ωραία ιστορία μέσω social media διηγήθηκε στους φαν ο John Wayne Parr, μιλώντας για τον αγώνα του κόντρα στον Charndej sor Prantalay.

Ο Parr γράφει πως όταν αποδέχθηκε την πρόταση πίστευε ότι θα πεθάνει μέσα στο ρινγκ, γιατί ο συγκεκριμένος μαχητής ήταν άγριος και πρωταθλητής της κατηγορίας του στο Lumpinee.

Μάλιστα, εξομολογείται πως τον είχε δει να παίζει από κοντά και έγινε μεγάλος φαν του.

Προερχόμενος από αγώνα προ τριών εβδομάδων ο Parr τελικά δέχθηκε το ματς και ήρθε ισόπαλος με θρυλικό αντίπαλό του, σπάζοντάς του μάλιστα κι ένα πλευρό!

I had just won on the Kings birthday 5th of December 1999. My Japanese friend contacted me asking would you like to fight again in 3 weeks time on Christmas Eve in Tokyo against Chardej? At first I thought “fuck no”, then I thought “stuff it, if I don’t fight I’ll never know”! First time I had seen him fight was at Lumpinee 1996 and instantly became a fan of his brutal and savage style. Lucky for me I didn’t die and we ended up getting a draw. After the fight Charndej told me I broke one of his ribs round 2 and he couldn’t use his powerful kick after that. Win, lose or draw, just happy to have shared the ring with one of the true legends of Lumpinee 😊🇹🇭🙏🏻. (Turn sound up to hear the kicks 😳)
