Katia είσαι ένα από τα κορυφαία ring girl του πλανήτη. Έχεις κάνει προπονήσεις σε πολεμικές τέχνες; Έχεις κάποιους αγώνες;
«Κάνω προπονήσεις σε πυγμαχία και Thai περισσότερο. Ψάχνω να κάνω τον πρώτο μου αγώνα στο Muay Thai, από την στιγμή που ο προπονητής μου λέει πως είμαι έτοιμη».
Ποια είναι η αγαπημένη σου πολεμική τέχνη;
«Μου αρέσει η πειθαρχία των μικτών πολεμικών τεχνών αλλά ανήκω στο thai που έκανα τα πρώτα μου βήματα».
Ποια είναι η γνώμη σου για το UFC;
« Το UFC έκανε τις μικτές πολεμικές τέχνες γνωστές. Είναι και καλό και κακό αυτό. Έδωσε στους αθλητές μία καλή βάση να δείξουν το ταλέντο τους και έδωσε στις γυναίκες την δυνατότητα να δείξουν τα skills τους. Δυστυχώς η μεγάλη προβολή, δημιούργησε ευθύνες και επικεντρώθηκε στο βωμό του κέρδους κάτι ευνοεί τον Dana White αλλά όχι τους αθλητές που δεν είναι τόσο γνωστοί. Πρέπει νομίζω να επικεντρώσουν περισσότερο στο πνεύμα του αθλητισμού παρά στην δημοσιότητα, στο μάρκετινγκ και στα λεφτά».
Ποιος είναι ο αγαπημένος σου αθλητής;
«Ο αγαπημένος μου αθλητής είναι ο Condy No Love Garbrant. Έχει αποδείξει ποιος είναι, με εντυπωσιακές νίκες και δείχνει αγνό ταλέντο. Παρακολουθώ και τον Ben Nguyen. O Ben έκανε το ντεμπούτο του και γενικότερα κάνει εντυπωσιακές εμφανίσεις. Aξίζει να τον παρακολουθείς. Από τις γυναίκες μου αρέσει η Joanna Jedrzejczyk που είναι μία πολύ brutal striker».
Ποια είναι η γνώμη σου για τον Conor McGregor;
«Λατρεύω τον Conor, αυτό που βγάζει, είναι σόουμαν. Η επιτομή του UFC σταρ. Έχει φέρει πολλά λεφτά στον Dana. Δυστυχώς το ίδιο που συνέβη στον πρόεδρο του UFC συνέβη και στον McGregor. Έχασαν το πάθος τους για αγώνες και σκέφτονται τα λεφτά και την δημοσιότητα. Το αποτέλεσμα το βλέπουμε τώρα που έχασε ένα ματς και τον κατακεραύνωσαν οι φανς και τα μέσα. Οι Fighters πρέπει να ακολουθούν την τέχνη με πάθος.. Όχι τα λεφτά».

Katia you are a famous ring girl and model for MMA. You trained on MMA, you have any fights?
«I train mainly in boxing and Muay Thai but looking to have my first fight in Muay Thai once my trainer says that I am ready»
What is your favourite Martial Art?
«I appreciate all disciplines of mixed martial arts but I am partial to Muay Thai as it was my first».
What is your opinion about UFC?
«The UFC has made mixed martial arts main stream which is a good and bad thing. It has given fighters a great platform to showcase their talents and has even given women a chance to be seen as skilled fighters but sadly with great power comes great responsibility and in that it has had to bow down to the masses and has sold off in order to make capital profits and while this is beneficial to Dana and the main share holders it is unfortunate for the little guys and sponsors … They should concentrate more on the sport then the publicity , marketing and money».
Who is your favourite fighter?
«My favourite male fighter at the moment would have to be Cody NO LOVE Garbrant. He has proven himself time and time again with impressive wins and pure talent. My one to keep an eye on as an up and coming is Ben Nguyen. Ben has made his debut and has been dominating since with first round wins for his last fights. He is definitely one to watch! Female has to be joanna Jedrzejczyk the brutal polish striker».
You like Conor McGregor?
«I love Conor, his attitude, his dedication and his showmanship. He is the epitome of a «UFC» star. He creates controversy, he delivers a great show and puts money in Dana’s hand and bums in the seats. Unfortunately same thing with Dana happened to Conor, he lost himself, he lost the passion and it became about the money and publicity and it hit him hard with his recent loss and now look at the drama that has followed, not because he didn’t perform but because of the media hype and the followers. Fighters need to stick to their art and follow their passion. Not someone else’s passion for making money off them».
