Boom! 💥 #FitnessFriday yawl. Today it’s all about the kettlebell. It’s probably one of the most versatile pieces of equipment and it has become a staple in the fitness world. You can get a total body workout if your let your imagination go. You can swing it, pull it, push it, throw it, curl it, squat with it, walk and run with it and stretch with it….you get the picture! You know the great part about the #kettlebell workout? You don’t actually need a kettlebell to do it. You can grab a hefty-sized water bottle and get the same workout. Per usual, we share a few exercises to get you started, but we also challenge you to create your own kettlebell/water bottle flow and share it with the tag #FitnessFridayHB. Today’s #FitnessFriday is dedicated to staying focused. As you can see, I’m having a hard time focusing this morning. Peter is all about the workout and all I want to do is avoid the workout 😂 It happens! Here is a tip for focusing that helps me stay on track: Find images of people who embody what you visualize yourself looking like, as well as phrases, slogans or mantras that inspire you. Then, find places to post them around the house. I like to put mine up in the bathroom, kitchen and my home gym. Seeing these gentle reminders throughout the day really does help! It’s #FitnessFriday and today Peter and I share with you our Tuff Tire Thursday workout and we bring it every Thursday rain or shine! We had a workout planned and it rained and we decided to stick with our plan. I have to say I felt so good that we didn’t let the rain defeat us. WE DID IT ANYWAY! So today I challenge you to do it anyway. No matter what comes up that threatened to derail your fitness plan, tell yourself “I win” and do it ANYWAY! For this workout we pulled out this ginormous tire and got busy. Finding an old used tractor tire is relatively easy. On my IG Stories and Fitness Highlight, you’ll find 7 exercises that will give you a full body workout. They will challenge your overall body strength, core and even cardio. Today’s #FitnessFriday is about embracing your power, hence my #WakandaForever t-shirt. There is a lot of strength and power in stillness. I find that having the ability to be still and calm in the most stressful situations is extremely powerful and empowering. Lord knows I have faced my fair share of adversity—as I’m sure many of you have—and the ability to be still and access my personal power has been a lifesaver. So today Peter and I share exercises on my IG Stories and Fitness Icon that help you embrace your power through the stillness. These exercises not only help you with your physical strength and stamina but they also encourage your mental strength and help you access your personal power. Hold each of these exercises for 30 seconds to one minute, but if your fitness level allows hold as long as you possibly can. Let’s go into the weekend feeling our #personalpower.
